Services, Consultation, Treatment Plans, and Follow-up Care

Up to 45% of women suffer from female Sexual Dysfunction. Generally, sexual dysfunction can be broken down into four main areas: problems with pain, orgasm, libido/desire, and arousal. For many women, problems in the bedroom are complex & are usually caused by a complicated set of factors. We help you by understanding your body as well as psychological and social factors – together, what we call your “biopsychosocial context”. Working together we can determine the best approach for you to reclaim your sexual pleasure!

As a woman’s hormone levels drop and her periods change and/or stop (usually around midlife, but sometimes much earlier), there are biochemical, physical and psychological changes that take place. These can be very disruptive, unpleasant and even life-altering. Significant negative physical and even mental health consequences can arise depriving you of pleasure. We listen to your concerns, discuss them with you, and help you establish treatment goals. We take the time to educate you about your treatment options, both hormonal and non-hormonal, as well as lifestyle changes. Together we work on helping you feel more like yourself, and adding some pleasure back into your life.

When hormone levels drop (estrogen & testosterone), the genitourinary tissue becomes dry, thin, and easily injured. This can lead to pain, itchiness, irritation, skin and anatomical changes, and discharge. It can also lead to recurrent urinary tract infections, overuse of antibiotics and over-involvement of the healthcare system. It can deprive you of pleasure. We help you understand how to optimize and maintain your genitourinary health.
